Federico Beffa Engineering (FBE) was founded in 2007 and is owned by Federico Beffa.
Federico Beffa earned his PhD. from the ETH Zurich in 2004 in the area of IC design. He then moved to the UK where he gained experience in the development and production of large scale industrial integrated circuits. Strong of deep theoretical and practical knowledge he decided to found his own company.
Since its beginning FBE contributed to the development of cellular transceivers for all 3GPP standards from WCDMA onward. Recently we contributed to sub. 6GHz as well as mmW 5G IC products. We have experience with SOI and bulk CMOS technologies down to 12nm FinFETs as well as some experience with GaAs MESFETs and InP HBTs.
Our work resulted in more than a dozen of granted US, European and other international patents and was presented at the principal international conferences of the field.
